Gibraltar
Here in Gibraltar, we have a monthly meeting from September to June, where we meet in the form of an afternoon tea which is provided both by donations from the membership which is done on a rotation basis and the Committee.
We get between 20 and 30 members attending these meetings and we have speakers which are of interest to the membership: local history, medial or simply beauty therapy! We do our fundraising by having raffles at every meeting and 3 times a year we hold either afternoon teas or lunches open to non-members, in the hope of enticing these ladies to join (and obviously fund raise).
With the funds raised we hold lunches twice a year for the less fortunate members of our community which are greatly appreciated and well attended.
