Headquarters will supply you with contacts in our branches overseas. We have information on aspects of etiquette and customs, in several countries. Our members living there will be happy to contact you before you leave to give you advice and reassurance..
Returning to the U.K
We have branches in the UK. whose members will be happy to welcome you into their community.
If there is no branch near you then we can offer you a 'lone member' service where an officer of the Society is responsible for keeping in touch by mail, telephone or e-mail. They will also put you in touch with other members who may live near you. There is a regular 'lone members newsletter' to keep you connected.
Headquarters runs a monthly programme of activities, mostly London based, which are advertised to members on line, by a mailing list, on our website and through our “Corona News” magazine.
Each branch has its own programme of activities to suit its various members.
Every year the Society organises an overseas holiday.
Our AGM is usually held in March in London. There is a Summer Lunch, held in various venues around the country. Attending these events gives our members the opportunity to meet other members and share in their experiences. All members from home or abroad are always welcome to these events.

One of the main services which Corona offers to members and non-members alike is to help anyone going to live in a foreign country for the first time, or relocating to a different foreign country. Where possible, we can provide up-to-date and practical information which is not always available elsewhere. We try to offer at least one contact in the country to which the client is going, so that, on arrival, there is a friendly voice on the end of the telephone.
. Are you going alone, or taking a family?
. What is the length of your contract?
. Have you lived and worked abroad before?
. Your special requirements: for example, health, education, finance, removals.
. You will be provided with practical, current information, which is relevant to your particular circumstances. This would cover for example living conditions, housing, services and other related issues, the cultural milieu, security problems - if there are any, shopping, recreation, and anything else, which will be helpful to a newcomer.
We can offer
An E-mail Briefing; an exchange of e-mails, either with members in U.K. who have lived in your prospective country or, quite often, with someone still living in that country to give you the most up to date information and contacts.
RETURNING TO THE UK; Members are contacted by our Returners Co-coordinator who will provide details of Corona activities and introductions to nearby branches and members.
